The Hundred Hour Working Week Playlist

This is getting ridiculous. Three years ago, a friend and ex-colleague managed to get me in to do a couple of nights training at his then employer. Since that first job, I’ve worked more hours for that company than he has. He still lives six miles from their site, but no longer works for them; I still live a hundred miles / two hour drive away from it. He used to complain about ten hour days, five times a week. I do twelve hour shifts there, seven days (or nights) a week. This year, they got organised / hit the panic button [delete as applicable] early. Since the beginning of August, they have booked EIGHTY-TWO DAYS STRAIGHT!! I’m “enjoying” a day off from there today, but from Friday, we go again: another TWENTY-THREE consecutive ones to do. I’m tired, Joey boy. If you see my wife and daughters awake before I do, tell ’em I love ’em, and I’ll see them … on the 1st December, I think.
