Oakland California Fuzzed out Indie Rockers ‘The Smilies’ new ep ‘How Soon Is Love?’ will fill your brain with a river of nostalgic bliss.
‘How Soon Is Love?’ is five tracks of Indie rock that places its influences clearly on its sleeve, You could equally imagine ‘The Smilies’ playing in a sweaty 90’s Manchester club as you could rocking the main stage at a large festival.

On the the left side of the ring weighing in at combined weight of 924 pounds ‘ The Stone Roses’ and ‘Spiritualised’; and on the right hand side looking to take on the Indie Rock Crown, weighing in at a combined weight of 266.8 pounds ‘The Smilies’.

Jim Ross – ‘Spiritualised’ have climbed the top rope and are getting ready for their trademark top rope leg drop, ‘The Smilies’ at the last minute roll out of the way leaving ‘Spiritualised’ “high and dry.”
‘King’ Jerry Lawler – ‘The Smilies’ are straight to their feet and ready to rumble; ‘The Stone Roses’ go for the grapple but are thrown over the top rope onto the apron.
‘King’ Jerry Lawler – ‘The Smilies’ have picked ‘Spiritualised’ of the mat and set them up for the ‘Tombstone Piledriver’
Jim Ross – ‘The Stone Roses’ are slowly getting to their feet but looking rather dazed and confused, stumbling around the apron.
‘King’ Jerry Lawler – OOOOOO Wow ‘Spiritualised’ are going to feel that ‘Tombstone’ in the morning.
Jim Ross – ‘The Stone Roses’ are entering the ring just as ‘The Smilies’ are going for the 3 count.
The crowd get to their feet and all simultaneously chant 1,2,3….
Jim Ross – ‘The Stone Roses’ have stomped ‘The Smilies’ but it’s all too late, the referee has finished his 3 count and declared ‘The Smilies’ the undisputed Indie Rock champions of the world.
As the crowd chants ‘THE SMILIES, THE SMILIES, THE SMILIES, THE SMILIES, THE SMILIES’ the referee holds ‘The Smilies’ hands in the air placing the Indie Rock champions of the world belt round their communal waists.
