-Volador Jr. (4-2) def. Ricochet (4-2)
Notes:
- YOSHI-HASHI scores a win. He’s getting stronger and Rocky Romero claims YOSHI is going to kick SANADA’s ass. I don’t think he’s quite there yet, honestly.
- Shibata and Nagata still haven’t realized that their rage stems from their confusing desire to be together. Do I have to write all the New Japan erotic fanfic around here?
- Tenzan pinned Captain New Japan in that ten man tag match which seems like the most inconsequential result possible
- Elgin was booked strong again as Tanahashi’s inevitable replacement. He got the pin, broke Omega’s broom and chased him to the back with a garbage can lid.
- This venue had skylights so the people were robbed of EVIL’s darkened entrance. These people paid for finger lasers, damn it!
- YOSHI-HASHI left commentary to attack SANADA after the match and got beaten down with a bat for his trouble. You might have this prediction wrong, Rocky.
- Beretta came out with a roll of athletic tape, tied Tiger Mask to the post and tried to remove his mask. After the loss, he shook Tiger’s hand, then kicked him in the nuts. Beretta is eliminated, by the way, with 4 losses after a 2-0 start.
- Ospreay kept himself in the hunt with a big win over Liger. They showed each other a lot of respect at the end; total opposite of Beretta and Tiger Mask.
- Curtain-jerking the second half, Bobby Fish and Chase Owens performed in front of a totally dead crowd. Neither is really compelling enough to win them over either.
- Ricochet and Volador woke the people up, however. They should have main evented. B Block wasn’t even at the top of its own card.
Road to B Block Victory:
- Volador Jr can win the block with a win over Will Ospreay.
- Ricochet has to hope Ospreay beats Volador. Then he has to beat Chase Owens.
- Will Ospreay needs to defeat Volador and then hope Ricochet loses to Owens.
- The winner of Bobby Fish vs Tiger Mask will be alive by wacky multi-man tiebreaker if Volador and Ricochet both lose. Probably not going to happen.
- Jushin Liger is eliminated because he lost to everyone above him.
- Beretta and Chase Owens are eliminated with 2-4 records.
