Real Ghost Records/Rizkan Records Presents It’s Alive!!! Vol-2 will be available 9/3/19 via Real Ghost Records (Band Camp) Rizkan Records (Band Camp) Real Ghost Records (Official Website)
“We’re a Bristol/Birmingham based punk rock label. Three of us run the label and we’re all about sharing music we love and helping out the people that make that music.
Firstly I have to say cheers to ‘Bloggin Rotten’ for introducing me to Rizkan and his label, as we both featured in the Spotlight on Independence feature. I’d been wanting to work with another label on a compilation for bloody ages, and when I looked into Rizkan Records I knew it would be awesome to work together.
Rizkan is a great example of what makes small DIY labels special. He works with amazing bands and he puts so much personality into everything to do with the label.
We’ve always enjoyed putting out free compilations (Road to Fest, IT’S ALIVE VOL #1) as it’s a great way to expose people to new music and bands. I’m really excited for people to hear this one – not only does it span continents, it spans loads of sub-genres of punk, from the moody emo punk rock of Boxing Day to the super poppy rock n’ roll of Saturday Night Karaoke. If it encourages anyone to check out Rizkan Records, go buy a record from a band or go to a show; that will make me very happy!”

“I was so stoked that Nick contact me via Facebook, cause you know its a bit surprising to know that this crappy label is about to have a comp with Fest-qualified-roster (Real Ghost Records – Road To Fest Comp) label like Real Ghost Records.
Along this time we started brainstorming via facebook messenger, in such a modern age working on labels and collaboration is much easier compared to the early 2000’s.
Oh ya and thanks to Bloggin Rotten for introducing me to lotsa new bands, and labels out of my radar. Real Ghost Records is included for certain! “

Real Ghost Records:
Descriptions written by Nick – RGR
New Junk City (Band Camp) – Amazing garage punk rock from Atlanta, Georgia. We put out their LP ‘Same Places’ on limited white vinyl recently and the whole record is awesome from start to finish. Plus their name is an Earthworm Jim reference. Yes.
H_NGM_N (Band Camp) – Pop Punk from Brighton. Simply one of the best pop punk bands coming up in the UK right now, and for a two piece the sound they make is huge. They tour hard and are a lovely dudes to work with – their latest EP ‘I Don’t Wanna Go Home’ came out late last year digitally, and we’ll be doing a CD release soon.
Rough Dreams (Band Camp) – Big spacey Pop Punk from Knoxville. These guys formed only last year… Our friend Jake Jones from Wolves&Wolves&WolvesWolves plays guitar and sings and they sound fucking amazing. We didn’t release their EP but I wish we had!
The Run Up (Band Camp) – Big-hearted heart singalong Punk Rock from Bristol. What can I say… my old band but I don’t mind if I‘m biased. I love these dudes. Some of the most uplifting and catchiest pop punk you’ll hear. Larry has such a distinctive voice which’ll make this appeal to lovers of really gruff punk too. We put out the latest EP last year on a beautiful custom etched vinyl.
Boxing Day (Band Camp) – Emo Pop Punk from Belgium. I was very excited to work with these guys to release their two track EP ‘Retrospect’ recently, they write wonderfully crafted, beautifully downbeat music. I’m hoping to get them over to the UK this year so watch this space!
Brutalligators (Band Camp) – Indie Punk from the south east (UK). I’m a big fan of this band and they were kind enough to provide an exclusive, unreleased track from their new record for this compilation. It’s a lot more raucous than their previous stuff and I can’t get enough of it. Wherever the new record ends up being released, keep an ear out for it!
Bike Age (Band Camp) – Gruff Punk from Germany. I asked if we could include a track from their previous EP ‘Beer is my cup of tea’ and they were more than happy to oblige. They take me back to my skateboarding days! If you like early Gnarwolves you’ll love them.

Saturday Night Karaoke (Band Camp) –
A good friend of mine and one of the best selling coming out from my label ever. If you like Ergs/PPMB band with more ldschool Power Pop vibe, yea this is a call for you.
Fat Face (Band Camp) – Would be the next thing you’ll love about Indonesian Pop Punk. They got poppier stuff on this comp comparing to their earlier stuff. Think about Beatnik Termites meet up with Teenage Bottlerocket.
Colour Me Wednesday – As I would say the first abroad band to put out a record on my damn tiny label and of course this band hooked me up since their first full length. Though it’s far from the term so called ‘Pop’, but when you’re feeling lost to find another replacement for your Go Sailor-Tiger Trap tunes, Colour Me Wednesday is the answer!
Amukredam (Band Camp) – Is noted as being one of the revival Indonesian skramz. It’s an honour for me to represent them in this stage as, I might say, this band should share a special stage for what they’ve done along the years.
Ache – (Rizkan Records (Band Camp))- Such a fake Emo band period!
Revello (Band Camp) – Is now a one-man project initiated by Liam of Block Fort though in some occasions I know Laura of Colour Me Wednesday used to help him. Well if you like kind of Plan-It-X folk punk stuffs like Paul Baribeau, or Ramshackle Glory, well this is a good tunes to be listened to! Well I do miss folkpunk in this very age!
Take (Band Camp) – Tirta of Ache does the band along with his wife, Keke, and they recorded damn fine songs! I never heard any of their news after their current EP so really hope this comp will motivate them a lil bit. If you like Mixtapes or Candy Hearts, this is band that you look up to! (I guess)
Cubfires (Band Camp) – Probably one of the most promising local indie/emo band today! Totally love the whole materials on their first EP and Avin did totally well about the songwriting for the band. The Get Up Kids would be a fitting password to unleashed their musicality description.
Dirty Ass (Band Camp) – Is the first kickin in the face hardcore-punk band as I first discovered about the local scene in Tangerang. They totally have a progressing materials if compare them with their first full length. You got to see their live set if you pay a visit here someday!
Prabu Pramayougha (Band Camp) – Has been one of the inspirational songwriter as he drew much results on songwriting for couple of projects like Saturday Night Karaoke, The Badmintones, The Shoptalks or Woodcabin!
