“When I die” features both male and female vocals and it’s a country number with a rockabilly twist.
“She” was previously released as a single and I enjoy the vocals treatment. the next cut is called “Goodbye Gondwanaland”, an amazing number with a folkie flavour.
The last two tracks on the EP, “Wild Dogs & Foxes” and “All of my Flannies Are Broken”, are musically closer to the band’s previous offerings. That is, foot-stomping folk-punk at its best.
If you’re missing the lyrics about convicts and bushrangers, don’t worry. The songs on the “white EP” aka “The Wild Folk” tell those Tasmanian tales again (release date: June 2nd, 2017)
