Metro Manila Philippines Pop Punkers ‘Disappearing Toy’ feels like an explosion at a bubblegum factory.
Rammed pack full of gritty guitar and snotty vocals, ‘Disappearing Toy’ feels like i’ve travelled in a time machine back to early 90’s Look Out Records era Pop Punk.
The vocal melodies feel like they need a little work, but musically the band sit pretty well with their peers.
Imagine a young Billie-Joe Armstrong and Dr Frank Portman, circle jerked into a large packet of Hubba Bubba, that resulting packet of gum was chewed then stuck under the chair, of a subway train by a young punk rocker full of angst.
A fire at the subway station melted the gum and mixed it with years of grime and dirt left by a impassive, unmotivated cleaner.
Out of the ashes ‘Disappearing Toy’ have risen.
