President Muhammadu Buhari has sent two Ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation, NAN source reported that the letter contained two names from Kogi and Gombe state.
The Kogi nominee will be replacing the late James Ocholi, the former state minister of labor who pass away last year. The Gombe nominee will be replacing the former minister of environment Amina Mohammed, who is the currently deputy Secretary general of United Nations(UN).
Pres.Buhari sent the letter to the senate in a period the when the senate is unhappy with the executive. The Senate halted the screening the screening of resident electoral commissioners (RECs) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as requested by the president.
The Senate are unsatisfied with the President doing nothing about the rejection of Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the EFCC.
